You might want to consider going to the Lake Las Vegas Resort where they have a wide variety of excellent golf courses. One of them is Reflection Bay. Reflection Bay is simply beautiful, incorporating the desert for a abeacha look. It was designed by Jack Nicklaus himself, so it presents itself with a nice challenge with some smartly placed bunkers and elevation changes. This course is a relatively new addition to the Lake Las Vegas Resort but it is still a good one. This course varies hugely in elevation and is name the aFallsa for its many beautiful waterfalls, creeks and streams that runs through the course. The back nine, 12th, 13th, and 14th holes are considered to be the most difficult, yet breath-taking holes in Nevada. Price: $250-300
Are you looking for a more relaxing gold game? Then you may want to check out the Siena Gold Club which has
an Italian feel to it. The fairways are open so you are able to see wonderful scenery such as the lake. The price is about one hundred to one hundred and sixty dollars.
Royal Links Golf Club is a collection of some of the best holes in British Open history. You experience holes from Royal Troon, St. Andrews, and Turnberry all in the same round. The holes are very accurate to their original counterpart. The aHella bunker from St. Andrews is also incorporated at the Links so pray before you go that you donat get caught here. On every hole, there is a display telling about the each holeas history in the British Open. Price $125-275
If you want to try something different, then go to the Desert Pines Golf Club. This course is littered with pine trees which is its most distinguishable characteristic. With about four thousand pine trees strewn throughout it, it is considered to be one of the best courses in Las Vegas with a reasonable price.
The Dragon Ridge Country Club is another course with drastic elevation changes which will challenge even the best golfers. Also the water will reap havoc on all who attempt to gamble on this course. This will really test your skills and possibly give you a horrible experience unless you are truly qualified for the demand of skill.
The Wolf Course at Paiute Resort at 7,600 yards, this course is the longest in Nevada and one of the most difficult. This goes especially for the last hole, where the slightest slip could sink the ball into the lake on the right side of the course. This course is a considerable challenge and should not be approached by amateurs. Price $135-200
A great course for experts is the Bali Hai Golf Club. It has a little South Pacific influence in the way it was created and landscaped, including one green that is on an island, a bundle of palm trees and over ten thousand plants of tropical nature which really bring the course alive. You wonat be disappointed by the challenge of this course because it takes a great deal of skill.
